Dr Lambert - Intelligent Transportation System Technologies: The Florida Road Weather Information System

Dr. David Lambert is an Assistant Professor in the School of Computing at the University of North Florida (UNF), and is recognized as an expert in Geographic Information Systems, and their application to business, governmental, and environmental problems. In this dinner meeting, Dr. Lambert will present one of his high-profile projects aimed at the development of an intelligent road weather information system for Florida. He has directed several other projects relating to the design of emergency and disaster management systems, which resulted in three U.S. Patents, and many publications and awards. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Florida, and his B.S. and M.S. degrees from Virginia Tech.
