Jacksonville AITP Professional Chapter

This event is designed for AITP students in an information technology (IT) related degree program (computer science, information systems, information technology, etc.) at St Johns River Community College, Florida Community College at Jacksonville, University of North Florida, and University of Phoenix. At this event, students will explore potential IT-related careers, advanced educational opportunities, professional success tips, interviewing and resume tips, and have an opportunity to interact with local IT professionals and faculty members .

Travis Webb is the Division Director for the Permanent Placement division of Robert Half Technology (RHT) in Jacksonville, Florida. RHT provides staffing solutions to premier organizations worldwide that require technical expertise on demand. Webb has more than four years experience in the staffing industry, specifically related to Information Technology (IT). He has worked with numerous companies over his career to place candidates in contract, contract-to-hire and full-time roles.

Oracle Application Express is a rapid web application development tool for the Oracle database. Using only a web browser and limited programming experience, you can develop and deploy professional applications that are both fast and secure. In this workshop, you will learn basics of Application Express, including how to create tables, templates, and other various components in the development of simple data-driven web applications.

Purpose: This event is targeted at students planning to attend the AITP National Collegiate Conference in Memphis this upcoming week. During this two hour workshop, students will be exposed to the Associate Computing Professional (ACP) certification exam. The workshop will provide an overview of the core exam components and highlight many of the specialty exams that are suitable for students to complete. This workshop should supplement your education to better prepare you to pass the certification. To attend this event, you only need to come to the UNF campus at the date specified.
